The project involved managing the organisation of two events. This included all the pre-event arrangements such as recce the venues, confirming actual requirements such as furniture and catering, as well as ensuring that all risk assessments, H&S and accessibility requirements were fully met.
It also involved liaising with all the Suppliers exhibiting at the events; sending on-line invitations to the Buyers; co-ordinating a registration management system and dealing with responses; as well as co-ordinating both events on-site.
Welsh Government has a role to host ‘Meet the Supplier’ events to bring together Suppliers and Buyers on various service frameworks.
The client was looking to appoint an event management company to project manage, plan and support two
‘Meet the Supplier’ events on its behalf.
The aim being to invite public sector customers / buyers to the events in order for them to get to know the various suppliers on the relevant framework and provide opportunities for relationship building and for sharing information on the products and services.
